Nakhshoon Gata is one of my personal favorites, it was a priority to create a recipe of my own, trying to resemble the taste of my beloved Grandma’s Nakhshoon Gata, can’t say I reached that, considering the difference in the ingredients I’ve used, besides, anything made with her “precious hands” tasted unrepeatable.The custard is the same as what’s in ponchik.Nakhshoon Gata is a soft sweet bread filled with: clarified butter,sugar and flour mixture.Making any Armenian dish or pastry will be in my best “comfort zone”, especially if that “something” everyone in my family loves.Following your instructions I was able to make a delicious and beautiful gata.Thank you! heghineh July 18, 2015 at 2:09 pm Thank you Anet jan, To be honest I never made or heard of Gata with custard, do you mean regular custard filling that goes into ponchiks, eclair or something else.
